Responsibilities
- Define, document, and standardize global transportation business processes across regions, plants, and shipment modes.
- Own end-to-end TMS solution design covering order-to-delivery flows, freight orders, carrier selection, rate shopping, routing, freight settlement, and track-and-trace.
- Lead blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, configuration oversight, integration design, testing, cutover, and hypercare for the TMS rollout.
- Design and govern integrations among the TMS, SAP S/4HANA, EDI carrier connections, control-tower and visibility platforms, and external logistics partners.
- Drive carrier onboarding and enablement across ocean, air, parcel, LTL, and FTL transportation.
- Lead stakeholder alignment, training, communications, and organizational change management.
- Manage software vendors and system integrators, including reviewing SOWs and enforcing architecture and quality standards.
- Establish solution standards, data governance, reusable design patterns, and process improvements.
- Support the broader supply chain transformation roadmap, including EDI stabilization, RFID, and AI-driven automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience rolling out TMS solutions end to end from design through go-live and stabilization.
- Experience implementing TMS in a global multinational with multiple manufacturing or distribution plants, a large carrier base, and multi-mode transportation.
- Strong expertise in freight management, carrier management, rate and route optimization, freight audit and pay, and delivery performance.
- Demonstrated solution architecture experience spanning requirements, solution design, integration design, and delivery.
- Experience leading change management and cross-functional adoption across business and IT teams.
- Experience integrating transportation systems with SAP ERP and EDI or carrier networks.
- Significant SAP Transportation Management experience, including a minimum of 3 to 4 end-to-end TM implementations.
- Good understanding of SAP supply chain processes and SAP S/4HANA logistics, including SD, LE, MM, and embedded or decentralized TM.
- Experience with inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments, Transportation Load Builder, FTL, LTL, multiple transportation modes, and freight settlement.
- Exposure to leading TMS, control-tower, and logistics visibility platforms such as Blue Yonder.
- Familiarity with semiconductor, high-tech, or high-volume electronics supply chains.
- Experience with EDI, API, IDoc, and middleware integrations across carrier networks.
- Experience with parcel, international ocean and air freight, customs and brokerage, duties, and taxes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus, and equivalent professional experience will be considered.
