Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop core components and features for the Block Storage Service data plane.
- Build and operate software for large-scale, highly available distributed storage infrastructure.
- Design distributed-system interactions across low-level systems and the data-plane stack.
- Develop clean C++ code and use scripting languages such as Python.
- Troubleshoot and tune system performance across I/O paths, operating systems, networking, and storage systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.
- Extensive experience developing clean code in C++ and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, I/O paths, operating systems, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of block storage systems and distributed persistence technologies.
- Working familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures.
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized storage infrastructure and data-management systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
