Responsibilities
- Operate and further develop group-wide observability and logging platforms based on Dynatrace, Splunk, and AI.
- Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Support teams in integrating services with Dynatrace and Splunk and adopting modern observability practices.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and alerting concepts; analyze incidents and performance issues and derive sustainable improvements.
- Define and advance observability standards for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments with architecture, cloud, platform, security, privacy, and operations teams.
- Automate operational and deployment processes using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Document solutions and processes and improve stability, resilience, and service quality.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, System Engineer, or in a comparable technical role.
- Experience with Dynatrace and/or Splunk in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability concepts, including performance, stability, and availability analysis.
- Knowledge of operating Linux and/or Windows systems.
- Experience with DevOps, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Understanding of modern IT architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud technologies.
- Good German and English skills, with an analytical, solution-oriented, collaborative, and structured working style.
- Preferred: Dynatrace or Splunk certifications or advanced knowledge; OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and metrics/logs/traces correlation experience.
- Preferred: Kubernetes and container platform experience; knowledge of Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and cloud monitoring solutions.
- Preferred: Experience with application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, digital experience monitoring, SLI, SLO, error budgets, IT service management, regulated or international enterprises, and security, privacy, governance, audit, and API-based end-to-end monitoring.
