Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and continuously improve the Databricks platform with a focus on scalability, reliability, and production readiness.
- Introduce and implement Databricks capabilities including Lakeflow, Unity Catalog, and Spark Declarative Pipelines.
- Develop scalable Python and Spark frameworks and modern data-ingestion architectures within Databricks.
- Optimize the platform across performance, security, governance, observability, and cost.
- Automate Databricks deployments and platform operations using Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code.
- Provide technical direction, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product Owners, and external implementation partners.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.
- Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing.
- Experience designing or operating enterprise data platforms in Azure.
- Good knowledge of Unity Catalog, platform security, governance, and CI/CD.
- Ability to combine architecture work with hands-on implementation and take technical ownership.
- Fluent English.
