Responsibilities
- Evolve backend frameworks, platform capabilities, libraries, and services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD tooling and automation.
- Improve observability and tracing across the platform.
- Collaborate cross-team, run proofs of concept, and share knowledge.
- Support backend development foundations used by hundreds of engineers across George.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in backend development with Spring Boot.
- Solid hands-on experience with Kotlin.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, Gradle, and modern CI/CD practices.
- A pragmatic, quality-focused mindset with clean-code, testing, and clear-communication skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with libraries, frameworks, or developer tooling is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures is preferred.
- Exposure to observability stacks is preferred.
- Container or cloud platform experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or AWS is preferred.
- Interest in AI-assisted development workflows is preferred.
