Base Salary

$98k - $292k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex, high-impact engineering initiatives across product innovation areas.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership on roadmap priorities, technical tradeoffs, risks, and execution strategy.
  • Use AI-native and fully agentic development workflows and help establish AI development principles and best practices.
  • For senior roles, mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
  • Participate in standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, production deployments, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Professional software engineering experience, with level determined by experience and scope.
  • Proficiency in some of TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AI-native development and experience leading teams into AI-native workflows.
  • For senior roles, demonstrated technical leadership through setting direction, making architectural decisions, and raising the bar for a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in EdTech or building products for learners, educators, or families is desirable.
  • Familiarity with search, discovery, personalization, AI, tooling, data insights, payment systems, or marketplace technologies is desirable.
  • Experience at a fast-paced startup or high-growth company is desirable.
