Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure cloud landing zones across AWS and Azure environments.
- Implement account and subscription structures for various workload zones.
- Build baseline controls for new cloud accounts and subscriptions.
- Support landing-zone acceptance criteria for new cloud environments.
- Implement federated access patterns using identity platforms.
- Support least-privilege access and automate credential management.
- Implement preventative and detective cloud guardrails using various tools.
- Monitor and remediate drift from approved cloud security baselines.
- Partner with the Network team to implement secure cloud network patterns.
- Integrate cloud logs and security signals into centralized SIEM/SOC workflows.
- Help automate evidence collection for compliance requirements.
- Create clear documentation for cloud operations and patterns.
- Participate in architecture decision records and change control.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
- Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure core services.
- Experience building or operating cloud landing zones and governance structures.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience implementing cloud security controls.
- Experience integrating cloud logs into monitoring platforms.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking.
- Ability to document cloud designs and compliance evidence.
- Strong collaboration skills with various engineering teams.
