Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable infrastructure and software aligned with strategic business timelines.
- Champion new technologies, methodologies, and practices across the AI organization.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members on machine learning and software engineering best practices.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, company leadership, and other stakeholders on technical strategy and collaboration.
- Improve and extend foundational infrastructure supporting Xometry’s AI/ML solutions, including the Instant Quoting Engine, Computational Geometry Service, and other data products.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, cloud solutions architect, or in a similar technical problem-solving role.
- A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, AI, or a related field is preferred and may substitute for some years of experience.
- Understanding of software engineering principles including parallel and distributed computing, version control, reproducibility, and continuous integration.
- Experience designing and deploying AWS-preferred cloud infrastructure for data-intensive AI/ML applications with attention to scale, reliability, and security.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform; REST API design and implementation; and object-oriented and functional programming in Python.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Service Catalog, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECR, EKS, and Kinesis.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and contributors.
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industry experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder for ITAR compliance.
