Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient, cost-effective Azure solutions, including landing zones, management groups, subscriptions, compute, storage, networking, identity, containers, and platform services.
- Create reusable Terraform Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, standardized deployment patterns, and automated provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Implement cloud security and governance using Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, identity controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, Zero Trust, and compliance automation.
- Design secure hybrid connectivity between Azure, on-premises infrastructure, and external services using network isolation and private connectivity.
- Define observability standards and lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, capacity and performance work, disaster recovery, incident response, and operational readiness.
- Identify cloud cost optimization opportunities through right-sizing, lifecycle management, consumption analysis, and purchasing models.
- Lead technical reviews, roadmaps, reference architectures, proof of concepts, documentation, stakeholder communications, and mentorship across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Extensive infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering experience, typically including 10 or more years in technology and 5 or more years designing and implementing Azure solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise cloud initiatives from design through production operations.
- Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure and platform services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and governance.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, managed identities, privileged access controls, Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and private service connectivity.
- Proficiency with Terraform and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience implementing monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and incident response capabilities and resolving complex issues across Azure services and application dependencies.
- Strong written communication, technical documentation, stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and technical tradeoff assessment skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Associate-level certification or higher.
- Preferred experience includes Azure App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, messaging or event-driven integration services, Azure Kubernetes Service, containerized workloads, cloud-native architectures, enterprise data and analytics, Microsoft Foundry, AI platforms, the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, the Azure Well-Architected Framework, regulated environments, SRE, platform engineering, FinOps, and shared cloud platform services.
- Microsoft Certified: Expert or Specialty certification is preferred.
