Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable identity services for authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.
- Architect secure APIs and unify identity systems across Splunk and Cisco products.
- Apply modern identity protocols and authorization models as a subject matter expert.
- Support reliable production operations through testing, debugging, observability, incident response, and production support.
- Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to shape identity strategy and deliver platform improvements.
- Explore AI/ML applications for identity automation and protection.
Requirements
- Strong, recent hands-on C++ and/or Go experience building secure, scalable, high-throughput production services.
- Experience designing and operating secure, distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, token and session lifecycle, RBAC, and ABAC.
- Strong automated-testing, debugging, observability, and production-support skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Splunkd or authentication-integration C++ code, Go services, C++ components, OAuth device-code flow, CLI authentication, Okta, service identities, LDAP, KV Store, Kubernetes, E2E test pipelines, production dashboards, and secure-access workflows.
- Preferred qualifications also include performance profiling, complex production debugging, incident response, SAML migration or deprecation, Go-based sidecars, service runtimes, host/service integration, access auditing, access windows, session management, and policy enforcement.
