Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable License Manager backend capabilities using C++.
- Lead complex features from technical design through production delivery while balancing correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production reliability, scale, and performance issues.
- Partner with product management, support, and engineering stakeholders to develop technical solutions for customer and business needs.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical design discussions, documentation, code quality, test coverage, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of related experience.
- Professional software development experience in C++, including production backend, systems, or distributed software.
- Strong understanding of software design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, testing, and code review practices.
- Experience investigating complex reliability, scale, or performance issues in production systems.
- Ability to work independently, lead medium-sized technical initiatives, and write clean, maintainable, and secure code.
- Preferred: experience with Splunk Enterprise, licensing, entitlements, metering, or other platform capabilities.
- Preferred: experience with Python for tooling, automation, or test development.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale, highly available, or customer-managed software.
- Preferred: familiarity with Linux-based development and production environments.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers and improving developer workflows, test coverage, operational tooling, or engineering standards.
