Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG or JUnit.
- Enhance automation frameworks supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated smoke and regression suites.
- Design and document test cases, scenarios, strategies, and coverage across functional, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles.
- Perform API testing for RESTful and SOAP services using Postman and RestAssured.
- Write SQL queries, including joins and subqueries, to validate test results against databases.
- Execute, monitor, and analyze test results using quality metrics and KPIs.
- Identify test coverage gaps, perform root cause analysis, and improve test scenarios.
- Track, manage, and resolve defects using Azure DevOps and JIRA.
- Perform manual functional and exploratory testing where automation is not feasible.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Development, QA, Release, and Leadership teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in automation testing with Java preferred.
- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java and TestNG or JUnit.
- Experience testing REST APIs and web services using Postman and RestAssured.
- Familiarity with frontend automation tools including Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
- Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed-systems testing.
- Experience with Cucumber is a plus.
- Experience with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing is a plus.
- BE, MCA, or equivalent degree, or relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
