Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites using Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Jasmine, and JMeter.
- Create and execute automated tests for end-to-end, unit, functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios.
- Develop testing utilities and automation solutions to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Define QA strategies, standards, and practices and validate software against business, functional, and quality requirements.
- Test web services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, including data integrity and service-level behavior.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment processes.
- Review application and automation code, debug failures, identify root causes, and support defect resolution.
- Manage the defect lifecycle from logging and prioritization through retesting and closure.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, customers, and stakeholders to define coverage and ensure release readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain current knowledge of testing practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Practical experience with automated testing frameworks for Java and JavaScript.
- Experience with Cucumber for end-to-end web application testing and JMeter and/or BlazeMeter for microservice performance testing.
- Knowledge of SonarQube, Synopsys Coverity, REST API testing, UI and API-based applications, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
- Experience with Azure PaaS services including Redis Cache, Azure Blob, RabbitMQ, and Cloud Service.
- Typically eight or more years of related work experience in software testing, test automation, or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of relational databases including MSSQL, Entity Framework Core or equivalent, Postman, RabbitMQ, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights is preferred.
- Experience with aerospace, aviation, or MRO environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven, monolithic, and serverless architectures and with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft DevOps is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, presentation, experimentation, and Agile working skills are required.
