Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders and customers to determine user requirements for software scenarios.
- Lead dependency identification and development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Lead by example by producing extensible and maintainable code used across products.
- Mentor engineers across products and solutions and coordinate project, release, and work plans with stakeholders.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, including on-call monitoring for degradation, downtime, or service interruptions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while driving consistent monitoring and operations at scale.
- Collaborate with Microsoft product teams, partners, open-source communities, and customer engineers to develop cloud solutions and open-source software assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: master's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and be willing and eligible to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph and maintain the clearance.
- Must satisfy Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including clearance verification and the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
