Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain Terraform primitives and GitOps patterns for multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters, software-defined networks, and pod identity layers.
- Operate Istio and Envoy service mesh topologies across public ingress, B2B ingress, and egress gateways.
- Author OPA/Rego policies for deployment checks, repository format validation, admission controls, and just-in-time access escalation.
- Configure OpenTelemetry collectors and Envoy sidecars to produce standardized telemetry and propagate trace context across network hops.
- Manage ArgoCD-based pull delivery engines and build structural linters enforcing repository standards across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of deep experience operating production Kubernetes, including Amazon EKS and Azure AKS, and container security frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Istio, Envoy, mTLS, custom ingress and egress routing, and edge API gateways.
- Practical experience writing Open Policy Agent rules in Rego for pipeline gating, admission controllers, or access governance.
- High proficiency with Terraform and pull-based GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Hands-on experience with OIDC identity federation, HashiCorp Vault, and short-lived secret workflows.
- Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry instrumentation, W3C trace context propagation, and log aggregation pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD linter construction, regular expression validation, hub-and-spoke repository models, and developer portal integrations is beneficial.
