Responsibilities
- Produce, optimize, debug, refactor, and review extensible and maintainable code for large-scale data movement services.
- Lead architecture discussions, develop design documents, test design hypotheses, and own selected technical design decisions.
- Use debugging tools, logs, telemetry, metrics, and retrospective analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- Define testing strategies, improve test coverage, and drive automated testing and continuous integration of testing features.
- Identify system dependencies, downstream and upstream effects, security requirements, performance considerations, and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and stakeholders to align solutions with user requirements and customer-value metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience with enterprise-level distributed systems.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security-screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- The typical base pay range is CAD $142,400–$257,500 per year across Canada.
