Base Salary
$171k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, operate, and scale highly available platform services running on AWS EKS and Kubernetes.
- Design and implement cloud architectures, platform components, tools, automation, proofs of concept, and productized features.
- Drive operational excellence through observability, configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
- Participate in on-call and support rotations, incident recovery, resolution, and root-cause analysis.
- Write software approximately 70–85% of the time, including services and platform capabilities.
- Gather functional requirements, create technical specifications, plan projects and tests, and contribute to system architecture.
- Resolve defects across QA, pre-production, production, and post-release patching.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, platform, QA/QE, and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software development, production engineering, or building and managing large-scale systems on AWS.
- At least 3 years of development experience building services with Go, Python, Java/J2EE, Spring, MVC, Hibernate, and/or Node.js.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience and a good understanding of container orchestration and cloud technologies.
- Programming experience with Go, Python, or object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, microservices architecture, software design and architecture, unit testing, and test-driven development.
- Strong understanding of generative AI concepts and fundamentals, including hands-on experience with a generative AI project.
- Experience with Agile Development, Scrum, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Open-source development experience is preferred.

- The position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits under applicable plans and programs.
- The expected base pay range is $171,000–$231,500 for Mountain View; pay varies based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
