Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents using governance, evaluation, safety, versioning, and testing practices.
- Implement agentic workflows for cloud infrastructure and automate incident triage, environment provisioning, configuration generation, and developer self-service.
- Operate and improve highly available distributed systems on AWS, including performance, scalability, stability, observability, and automated remediation.
- Develop Cortex developer-platform capabilities for service scaffolding, deployment debugging, natural-language issue resolution, and AI-powered golden paths.
- Evolve infrastructure-as-code and automation standards for owned services.
- Document agentic architectures, best practices, and operational procedures, and participate in on-call rotations and post-mortems.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with engineering, product, security, Staff engineers, and management on platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with large-scale, highly available, customer-facing distributed systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading well-scoped platform initiatives.
- Hands-on experience building and operating production AI-driven systems and agentic workflows for operational tasks.
- Experience reducing operational toil through agentic AI in at least one meaningful workflow.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes at scale, containerized and serverless architectures, Terraform, Ansible, and Datadog.
- Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or custom agentic architectures, plus production prompt engineering.
- Strong coding ability in Python and/or Go.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, compliance, model safety, prompt-injection prevention, data isolation, and governance for production AI systems.
- Experience with service mesh and traffic management using Linkerd or Istio is preferred.
- Experience with GitOps and CI/CD orchestration using Argo CD, Flux CD, GitHub Actions, or Argo Workflows is preferred.
- Experience with MLOps or LLMOps, including model versioning, evaluation frameworks, and production AI monitoring, is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI security frameworks, guardrails, audit logging, and LLM data governance is preferred.
Benefits
- Base salary is $228,000-$279,000 plus equity and benefits.
- Hybrid position in Mountain View requiring in-office work two days per week.
- The company supports H-1B and O-1 employer transfers but not new visa sponsorship or OPT/CPT employment.
