Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the Ground Control Console operational tooling platform.
- Build scalable, reliable, adaptable, and performant applications supporting launch, on-orbit demonstrations, operational rehearsals, constellation automation, and other mission functions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across ground and space systems to understand system behavior and deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify operational and productivity improvements and drive changes that improve fleet execution.
- Design and implement software that supports complex interactions between software and hardware systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee, or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
