Base Salary
$65k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable internationalized user interfaces using front-end engineering practices.
- Integrate localization into React components, manage localization files, and make UI or architectural changes that preserve performance, accessibility, and translation quality.
- Extract and manage UI strings, coordinate translation efforts with internal teams and external vendors, and respond to translator questions.
- Validate localized builds across languages and regions and support localization QA and bug-reporting processes.
- Partner with engineers and designers to resolve localization-related UI, layout, and functional issues.
- Own localization readiness for product releases and serve as a technical bridge across Front-end Engineering, Localization, Design, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and adopt tools and technologies that improve localization workflows, scalability, and developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in front-end or software engineering roles.
- At least 2 years of experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with localization engineering, internationalization, adaptive UI, and responsive design.
- Bilingual proficiency with strong verbal and written English communication skills plus at least one additional language.
- Experience building reusable, component-based UI components and using design systems and tools such as Figma and Storybook.
- Working knowledge of Python, including basic automation scripting or development workflows.
- Experience with localization workflows and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks and effective test-case design.
- Strong cross-cultural collaboration, project ownership, prioritization, and communication skills.
