Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, architecture, and integration of Valkey/Redis-compatible and SQL Server managed services into the sovereign cloud.
- Automate deployment, replication, backup, patching, and self-service DBaaS operations through Go-based APIs.
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant caching solutions and optimize configurations and capacity for customer demand.
- Own services from implementation through Kubernetes orchestration, monitoring, incident analysis, and post-mortems.
- Guide product technical direction, mentor team members, and promote engineering and reliability practices.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in distributed-system design, scalability, and high availability.
- Strong backend software engineering and API development experience, with the ability and willingness to work with Go.
- Experience controlling or automating infrastructure and developing clean service APIs.
- Knowledge of reliability, fault tolerance, monitoring, and observability ecosystems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Fluent English communication skills for collaboration in an international agile team.
- Preferred: deep Valkey, Redis, or SQL Server architecture knowledge, including clustering, high availability, and performance tuning.
- Preferred: Kubernetes, container, Kubernetes Operator, Terraform, or Ansible experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of data-in-transit and data-at-rest security and cloud network isolation.
