Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering strategy and improve the quality, predictability, measurability, and reliability of engineering delivery.
- Make complex technical, architectural, and technology decisions for high-performance products, platforms, and capabilities.
- Resolve complex and escalated technical issues and develop technically complex solutions with potentially large-scale impact.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps aligned with business, engineering, and partner-team needs.
- Drive engineering and operational excellence initiatives, including metrics, assessment, and continuous improvement processes.
- Write, test, review, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain software independently.
- Implement technical vision and contribute to innovation involving new technologies, platforms, and applications.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain tools and automation supporting continuous delivery and developer productivity.
- Design and implement scalable ETL data-processing and data-engineering workflows using Python and Apache Spark.
- Collaborate with design, operations, vendors, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C# with experience building robust systems or applications.
- Extensive experience with software architecture and solution design, including microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
- Deep understanding of software development principles, design patterns, modular architecture, test-driven development, and version control.
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development and AI-supported software practices.
- Experience integrating software with APIs, network systems, or telemetry platforms, ideally in telecommunications or operational environments.
- Ability to design and specify microservice architectures and larger-scale components and solutions from technical requirements.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and scripting.
- Proficiency with virtualization and orchestration tools such as Docker, OpenStack, and VMware.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring practices and strong problem-solving skills for cross-domain technical challenges.
- Strong documentation, communication, knowledge-sharing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong knowledge of cloud concepts, architecture patterns, and best practices.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with a cloud platform, with AWS preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and Apache Spark, with a focus on ETL data processing and scalable data-engineering workflows.
