Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technology projects as an individual contributor across the full software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and productionize robust application systems and programs.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure application designs follow appropriate architectural and design patterns.
- Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and productionization.
- Build bespoke solutions for risk and capital exposure analysis across datasets containing millions of records.
- Advance derivatives exposure-processing infrastructure by adopting appropriate technologies within Citi’s architectural guidelines.
- Collaborate with global software engineers, business analysts, DevOps, and support staff.
- Coach and advise mid-level and junior developers and analysts.
- Assess and manage technology, regulatory, conduct, and control risks in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on Core Java experience, including concurrent programming and object-oriented design.
- Experience developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications.
- Capital markets experience; derivatives and risk management knowledge is advantageous.
- Understanding of Java internals, including class loading and memory management.
- Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
- Demonstrated ability to build sophisticated tooling for development and production teams.
- Experience with Spring Framework, distributed caching, databases, containers, microservices, Linux, scripting, and development tooling.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with application modernization, including re-engineering monolithic or critical applications, and Tableau or an equivalent data analytics tool is desirable.
