Responsibilities
- Embed with client teams to understand workflows and frame business and commercial problems as AI opportunities.
- Lead AI solution delivery end to end, including design, building, testing, deployment, and iteration in live production environments.
- Set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and defend them to client engineering and security teams.
- Establish integrations, access controls, hosting, and other technical foundations with client IT teams.
- Prove value at small scale, productize successful solutions, and build a pipeline of additional use cases.
- Mentor and support other engineers through reviews, pairing, and delivery guidance.
- Stay current with AI and technology trends and help clients build internal capability.
Requirements
- Excellent programming and system design skills with recent hands-on Python experience and ideally one of C#/.NET, Java, Rust, or C++.
- Substantial experience taking AI or machine learning systems into production, including LLMs, prompt design, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, and retrieval pipelines.
- Experience with APIs and integrations, SQL, Azure or AWS cloud platforms, version control, CI/CD, and security and access considerations for client environments.
- Ability to own projects end to end in ambiguous settings and make sound build-versus-buy decisions.
- Direct experience working with clients or business stakeholders and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial, ownership-oriented approach with strong problem-solving, collaboration, curiosity, and learning skills.
- Strong academic background with an undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Financial services experience is a bonus but is not required.
