Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of customer-specific AI/ML solutions.
- Architect and implement enterprise application integrations using Python, JavaScript, APIs, and microservices.
- Analyze complex datasets to inform solution development and product direction.
- Drive AI-augmented workflow automation in customer environments.
- Deploy AI solutions into production and oversee evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Manage AI risk assessment, GDPR, data privacy, and regulatory compliance considerations.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and align solutions with business objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend software development experience.
- 5+ years delivering impactful AI/ML solutions in production, including founding or forward-deployed engineering experience in 0-to-1 product development.
- Deep expertise in applied AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages and experience with enterprise integration.
- Experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy, and compliance such as GDPR.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, strategic thinking, and business alignment skills.
- Preferred experience with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo AI, or AI-powered Atlassian features.
- Preferred familiarity with regulated industries, large-scale AI production systems, and mentoring or leading engineering teams.
