Senior Machine Learning Product Engineer, Consumer Alliance (all genders)
HelloFreshResponsibilities
- Build and operate data products and machine learning systems for menu personalization across feature pipelines, training workflows, model serving, experimentation tooling, and infrastructure.
- Transition research and experiments into reliable production services that meet latency, scalability, and observability requirements.
- Own significant recommender-stack components from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Instrument, monitor, diagnose, and continuously improve production systems based on real-world performance.
- Contribute to personalization strategy and product roadmaps using data and user evidence.
- Raise team engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Backend Engineers, and Product partners across international teams.
Requirements
- Approximately five years of experience building and operating production machine learning systems.
- Fluency in Python and Apache Spark, with working knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience across ML or data pipelines, model serving, and observability at scale.
- Deep data and ML engineering expertise, production experience operating models or data products, and statistical literacy for designing experiments and interpreting results.
- Production experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization is preferred.
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including AI agents used in daily work.
- Strong operational judgment, product sense, ownership, and ability to support technical decisions with data and user evidence.
