Responsibilities
- Build software solutions for Stripe’s financial infrastructure and products.
- Learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and collaboration with mentors or subject-matter experts.
- Collaborate on multi-person coding projects and contribute to larger technical initiatives.
- Lead small projects independently and navigate complex technical obstacles.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development while reviewing, refining, and validating outputs with professional judgment.
- Communicate technical work clearly to stakeholders, teammates, and other Stripe employees.
Requirements
- Must be available to start full-time before December 1, 2026.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a directly related field obtained by summer 2026, or equivalent work experience.
- New graduate candidates must have no more than 18 months of professional experience, excluding internships.
- Programming experience through side projects, classwork, internships, or collaborative coding projects.
- Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects in a university or professional setting.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and develop understanding through research and mentorship.
- Clear written communication skills.
- Ability to use AI tools while applying critical thinking and professional judgment to review and validate their output.
- Preferred: specialized knowledge in frontend, backend, infrastructure, or another technical area.
- Preferred: experience with code review, safely updating production systems, large codebases, independently leading small projects, and contributing to larger projects.
