Lead Software Engineer

- Lead complex technology initiatives, including companywide initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and review complex large-scale technology solutions.
- Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for large-scale technology solutions.
- Evaluate technical solutions against business objectives, enterprise environments, and complex technical challenges.
- Lead projects and teams, influence technology teams, and drive initiatives and deliverables.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues.
- Define technical strategy, architecture roadmaps, and engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers and support engineering talent development and culture.
- Support platform observability, SRE practices, incident management, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Deep expertise in Golang, Python, or .NET is desired.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms is desired.
- Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, container orchestration, platform engineering, and production operations is desired.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud architecture patterns is desired.
- Strong expertise in system design, scalability, reliability, performance optimization, and security architecture is desired.
- Advanced experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, and developer productivity tooling is desired.
- Understanding of testing strategies, automated quality gates, architecture reviews, and SDLC best practices is desired.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive delivery across multiple teams is desired.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills are desired.
