Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure production infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Lead container platform migrations, including ECS-to-EKS/GKE initiatives, and enable microservice architectures.
- Serve as a technical authority for Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Partner with development teams on production readiness, scalability, observability, and microservice application architecture.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, performance, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, conduct blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses, and improve incident response.
- Lead complex technical projects, manage timelines and dependencies, mentor engineers, and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams on infrastructure standards, IAM Federation, and Workload Identity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- 3–5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, including EKS/GKE and related ecosystem tools such as Helm and Karpenter.
- 3–5 years of experience with AWS and GCP.
- 3–5 years of experience using Terraform for multi-cloud infrastructure.
- 5+ years of coding experience in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience leading ECS-to-EKS/GKE migrations and enabling microservice architectures at scale.
- Experience implementing SLOs and SLIs, conducting root-cause analyses, and improving operational resilience.
- Strong Linux, networking, security, container security, secrets-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing cloud databases and caching systems, and using observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or Google Cloud Operations.
- Prior experience in SaaS or high-scale cloud-native environments is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
