Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality, efficient, and testable code in Java and other object-oriented programming languages.
- Build and operate highly available distributed systems capable of significant scale growth.
- Develop anomaly detection algorithms to identify and eliminate billing inaccuracies.
- Collaborate with AWS teams to build software and services supporting billing needs.
- Own deployed systems and maintain high standards for data quality, correctness, and operational rigor.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement.
- Partner with product managers and engineers across Commerce Platform teams to deliver features and promote best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
