Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality, efficient, and testable code in Java and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Build and operate highly available distributed systems capable of significant scale growth.
  • Develop anomaly detection algorithms to identify and eliminate billing inaccuracies.
  • Collaborate with AWS teams to build software and services supporting billing needs.
  • Own deployed systems and maintain high standards for data quality, correctness, and operational rigor.
  • Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers across Commerce Platform teams to deliver features and promote best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
