Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Identify, design, and build automation and self-service tooling that eliminates manual ticket-driven work.
- Own the full software lifecycle from design through production operation.
- Balance technical debt and feature delivery across multiple systems.
- Design and build integrations between Jira, Confluence, and adjacent enterprise applications.
- Partner with infrastructure engineers to ensure automation is reliable, secure, and well architected.
- Lead technical design efforts, mentor teammates, and review engineering work.
- Collaborate with internal customers to gather requirements and validate self-service solutions.
- Establish reusable patterns and frameworks for future automation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Groovy, or comparable languages.
- Demonstrated success building automation or self-service tooling that measurably reduces manual operational work.
- Experience designing and building integrations or internal tooling.
- Experience with REST APIs and system-to-system integration patterns.
- Experience building Jira automations and workflows using ScriptRunner, native automation, or Atlassian REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Ability to lead technical designs and mentor other engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver practical solutions from ambiguous requirements.
- Ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to company culture.
- Experience with self-service platforms, AI-assisted development tools, Infrastructure-as-Code, containerized workloads, authentication and authorization workflows, relational databases, or federal compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
