Base Salary
$82k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software supporting Agentic AI capabilities.
- Architect and implement autonomous agent systems using agentic workflows, reasoning engines, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications and distributed systems using APIs and modern software architectures.
- Manage the software development lifecycle from concept and design through deployment and sustainment.
- Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs for scalable and resilient applications.
- Develop clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and mission stakeholders to deliver capabilities.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, technical reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and engineering approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with object-oriented programming languages and significant Python experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated polygraph.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Git and experience with source-control platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket, including branching, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent issue-tracking and documentation tools.
- Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agents and using an agent framework.
- Familiarity with MCP, A2A, tool use, or function calling in LLM-based systems.
- Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, agent memory systems, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or LLM reliability tuning.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, React or Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript, DevSecOps, and modern development tools.
