Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of full-stack capabilities across cloud-native microservices.
- Own major system components and guide technical roadmaps for modernization and cloud adoption.
- Develop distributed, secure, and scalable backend services using Python, Java/Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
- Architect and govern AWS cloud deployments, including Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure as code, security controls, and reliability patterns.
- Guide DevSecOps execution through GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, secure coding standards, and supply-chain integrity.
- Integrate large-scale data, search, and analytics pipelines using platforms such as Kafka, NiFi, and Elasticsearch.
- Partner with product owners, mission users, and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and technical strategy.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including LLMs, AI, synthetic data, and augmented development tools, for mission applicability.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience leading technical delivery or architecture for cloud-native or distributed systems.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, or Spring Boot.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite.
- Experience architecting and deploying solutions with AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Experience with complex API ecosystems such as FastAPT, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
- Experience building secure, high-performance applications in classified or highly restricted environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, Kafka, NiFi, legacy application modernization, Terraform, CloudFormation, AI/ML or LLM-based workflows, and GEOINT or Intelligence Community analytic missions.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates must complete the required skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold.
