Senior Software Engineer, IQ Grow
Toast, Inc.Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performing, flexible, and scalable solutions for restaurant guest experiences.
- Ship product features end-to-end from design through rollout, monitoring outcomes and iterating based on real-world use.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and LLM-based agents to improve development workflows and productivity.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through design reviews, constructive feedback, and agent-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience delivering impactful products.
- Ability to read and integrate with frontend applications and work across the stack when needed.
- Interest in AI-assisted development, LLM-based agents, and tools such as Claude Code.
- Strong software development fundamentals, including code quality, unit testing, and clean code.
- Ability to work with ambiguity, deliver incrementally, and collaborate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Passion for user-focused product development, feedback, continuous learning, and broader ownership.
