Responsibilities
- Lead customer projects by designing and delivering production-grade data, AI, and application solutions.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable systems aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Design and deploy end-to-end architectures combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Embed with customer teams, train stakeholders, guide adoption, and translate technical challenges into actionable solutions.
- Coordinate with Databricks engineering, product, support, project management, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagements.
- Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices, and provide feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, AI APIs, and production deployments.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, along with curiosity and adaptability when exploring new technologies.
- Databricks Certification is required.
- Ability to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time.
