Senior Front-End Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build dynamic, multi-step medical intake engines, provider charting dashboards, and patient-facing applications that safely handle sensitive PHI
- Design scalable client-side architectures for complex relational healthcare data, state management, asynchronous fetching, and responsive performance
- Collaborate with mobile engineers on shared state patterns, reusable business logic, and unified architecture across web and React Native applications
- Make high-quality UX and design decisions using Mochi’s component systems and design standards
- Own frontend deployment pipelines, performance budgets, client-side observability, and error tracking with tools such as Sentry and Datadog
- Integrate AI capabilities into product interfaces to automate clinical operations and scale provider workflows
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of frontend engineering experience with production React applications
- Deep understanding of React rendering, complex state architecture, asynchronous data fetching, and server-side rendering, static generation, and client-side fetching tradeoffs
- Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and modern state management or data-fetching tools such as React Query and Zustand is preferred
- Strong product sense, visual judgment, accessibility awareness, and ability to work effectively without pixel-perfect design specifications
- Experience using frontier agentic tools such as Codex 5.3 or Claude Opus 4.6, with the ability to audit and verify their output
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in environments shaped by healthcare regulations, compliance, and patient safety
- Willingness to work onsite in the San Francisco office five days per week
