Responsibilities
- Create and release new software features and engineering tools from conception through production.
- Design, develop, maintain, and scale software running on Akamai infrastructure.
- Build frontend and backend capabilities for vulnerability management and engineering productivity.
- Design and optimize multi-platform build systems, including parallelism, dependency management, toolchains, and cross-architecture compilation.
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Enhance existing features and contribute to product and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming with Python, Java, Go, or C/C++.
- Experience with CMake, Bazel, Cargo, or Meson and with configuring GCC or Clang compilers.
- Experience with toolchains and sysroots for AArch64, ARMv8, ARMv9, Intel, and AMD architectures.
- Hands-on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases, and SQL.
- Experience with CI tools such as CloudBees CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and SLA requirements.
