Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and integrate AI tools, APIs, and agent workflows that automate engineering and research activities.
- Automate experiment setup, training and fine-tuning runs, tracking, comparison, and reproducibility.
- Develop automation and integration workflows for evaluating ideas in simulation and on real robots.
- Design statistically rigorous evaluations and experiments to determine whether improvements are real.
- Build logging, analysis, and debugging tools for robot sessions, failures, and training-data generation.
- Make systems reliable, secure, safe, measurable, and appropriately subject to human approval.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies and incorporate those with measurable impact into team workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building testing, automation, or evaluation systems for real robots or other physical systems through software interfaces.
- Experience building and deploying LLM-agent workflows, AI tool integrations, copilots, or automation pipelines for real engineering work.
- Knowledge of evaluation design, experimentation, and statistics sufficient to determine whether improvements are real.
- Production-quality Python programming and ability to read C++.
- Comfort with Linux, CI/CD, Docker, containerized services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience includes robotics simulation with NVIDIA Isaac Sim/Lab or MuJoCo, AI/ML or robot-learning evaluation, surgical or medical robotics, ROS 2, agent frameworks, MCP servers, and AI assistants for engineers or researchers.
- Strong candidates may come from robotics, autonomous systems, physical AI, or robot-learning research and should be able to work across disciplines and explain trade-offs clearly.
