Responsibilities
- Develop and contribute to platform tooling for relational and distributed-SQL/document database engines.
- Build capabilities for provisioning, backup and restore, observability, and self-service across database technologies.
- Support transactional data migrations across on-premises, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud environments with minimal downtime and guaranteed data integrity.
- Participate in on-call and incident management for production database infrastructure.
- Operate and troubleshoot infrastructure across datacenter and cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with Core Storage teams, distributed teammates, local cloud teams, and regional vendors or partners.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- More than 7 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or infrastructure-focused role.
- Production experience with at least one of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or CockroachDB.
- Experience with automation-based infrastructure across datacenter and cloud architectures, including Alibaba Cloud and/or AWS.
- Understanding of Python or Go.
- Experience or exposure to stateful services on Kubernetes, database-as-a-service control planes, provisioning APIs, self-service tooling, hybrid-cloud data migrations, observability, backup, or disaster recovery.
- Mandarin proficiency and contributions to open-source database projects or internal data-platform tooling are preferred.
