Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a container-based infrastructure that is scalable and compliant.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement effective solutions to technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines securely and reproducibly.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis as needed.
- Ensure applications are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
- Maintain high levels of systems and infrastructure availability proactively.
- Explore new technologies and apply best practices to foster a collaborative learning culture.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and application software.
- Develop custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Evaluate application performance and implement solutions to address bottlenecks.
- Maintain security program controls and best practices.
- Ensure systems are HIPAA compliant and understand health regulatory requirements.
- Make informed decisions regarding technical tradeoffs and resource utilization.
- Participate in on-call PagerDuty rotations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps.
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS.
- Active team member in product development and operations for best DevOps practices.
- Security-first mindset with experience in secure development environments.
- Experience building and maintaining a container-based infrastructure and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, systems reliability, and monitoring.
- Fully automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
- Experience in regulated environments with data privacy regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
- Proficient in managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python, Go, and Groovy.
