Base Salary
$170k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own Render's core compute infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and regions.
- Design and build capabilities for improved service performance and flexibility.
- Investigate cloud and compute issues from the kernel to orchestration mechanisms.
- Enhance infrastructure performance and reliability through profiling and tuning.
- Collaborate with engineers to build a stable and secure platform.
- Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident response processes.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in large-scale platform or compute infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in operating and scaling Kubernetes clusters or similar systems.
- Experience in developing with Go, Rust, or similar languages for infrastructure components.
- Strong background in designing and operating distributed systems.
- Experience with planning and executing high-risk upgrades with minimal downtime.
