Responsibilities
- Architect and design APIs, services, middleware, user interfaces, and other core components of SOTI products.
- Write maintainable C# code for major architectural components and contribute directly to product development.
- Own performance, scalability, and security requirements from ideation through implementation.
- Document and advocate software design, coding, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Review and guide development teams on design decisions, performance optimization, and secure coding.
- Prototype and validate solutions for complex architectural challenges.
- Identify and help eliminate technical debt to improve long-term maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, support, and engineering teams on technical strategy.
- Maintain architectural roadmaps, design principles, and reusable design artifacts.
- Mentor developers and QA engineers and support adoption of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Expertise in computer science fundamentals, including mathematics, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and software architecture.
- At least 10 years of combined experience architecting, designing, and implementing multi-tiered software applications.
- Strong experience with .NET, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and MVC.
- Excellent knowledge of relational data models, SQL, MS SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing and deploying applications in AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and SonarQube integration for code coverage.
- Experience solving complex business problems and identifying flexible, creative technical solutions.
- High proficiency in software architecture patterns and documentation.
- Deep experience with software development life-cycle practices and tools, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, and QA.
- Strong education in computer science or mathematics is preferred.
