Responsibilities
- Lead a team within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group while remaining a hands-on developer.
- Design and implement technical solutions and contribute to microservices and user interfaces for asset management, retirement, and college savings solutions.
- Build software supporting portfolio building, modeling, and trading capabilities.
- Manage priorities across multiple workstreams and perform triage and root cause analysis in complex or time-sensitive situations.
- Promote standards for unit testing, automation, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with varied individuals and groups in a constructive, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of design and development experience.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Angular or similar, Maven, Jenkins, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Karate, Playwright, or Storybook and other testing frameworks is a plus.
- Exposure to Amazon Web Services or Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka is beneficial but not required.
- Investment management or business-domain insight is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to manage priorities, make sound decisions, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate effectively across teams.
