Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers across the team.
- Shape technical direction, architecture, engineering standards, and design decisions for business-critical applications.
- Design and develop modern microservices and user interfaces supporting portfolio construction, modeling, and trading.
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automation, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, manage priorities across multiple workstreams, and make sound decisions in complex or time-sensitive situations.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of software design and development experience.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Angular or a similar front-end framework, and microservices-based applications.
- Experience working in Agile teams and delivering incremental business value.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
- Preferred experience with automated testing tools such as Karate, Playwright, or Storybook; Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; AWS or Kubernetes; and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
- Investment management or financial services domain knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
