Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and deployment of scalable Azure Databricks data pipelines using PySpark, Delta Live Tables, and layered data architecture.
- Drive enterprise Salesforce architecture and custom development using Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex, and Salesforce Flows.
- Architect and maintain integrations and data synchronization between Salesforce, Azure Data Lake Storage, and cloud or on-premises environments.
- Modernize legacy on-premises SQL pipelines by migrating them to cloud-native Databricks solutions using configuration-driven patterns.
- Establish DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Pipeline as Code standards across Salesforce and data engineering environments.
- Define platform strategy, improve data quality, reduce technical debt, and resolve complex architectural bottlenecks.
- Set technical standards, conduct design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure performance, security, and governance standards.
- Serve as the highest-tier escalation point for production issues, pipeline failures, and system performance optimization.
- Lead Medicare and payer-focused initiatives involving member, claims, and operational data while supporting PHI, PII, and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain enterprise documentation covering architecture, data models, integration standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development, cloud technology, or data engineering building large-scale platforms.
- 5–7+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Advanced PySpark experience with DataFrames, transformations, joins, aggregations, and performance tuning.
- Experience developing and maintaining Delta Live Tables pipelines.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including SOQL, SOSL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, and experience modernizing legacy SQL environments.
- At least 3+ years of Salesforce custom development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, web services, and Flow automation.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture, Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, YAML, JSON, and configuration-driven patterns.
- Experience automating CI/CD deployments across cloud data and Salesforce environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across the organization, mentor engineers, and support a positive team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- US work authorization is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce, Databricks, and Microsoft Azure certifications; familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles and Unity Catalog; and healthcare data, PHI/PII, and regulatory experience.
