Responsibilities

  • Set and own technical vision and strategy across cloud, backend, automation, and platform domains.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for high-impact initiatives and guide architecture, engineering processes, and delivery quality.
  • Define platform direction and roadmaps with engineering leadership, product teams, and the open-source community.
  • Lead solutions from prototype through production while contributing to key frameworks and components.
  • Drive performance, security, reliability, scalability, and operational readiness across production systems.
  • Mentor senior engineers, foster cross-team alignment, and promote engineering craftsmanship and learning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience, including enterprise-grade distributed systems and hands-on Agile delivery.
  • 5+ years of development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, including 2+ years with Kafka or other event-driven platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies such as GCP, Azure, or an equivalent public cloud.
  • 3+ years applying security, resiliency, availability, and scalability practices in production systems.
  • Experience with AI or generative AI solutions and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include health, wellness, or pharmacy domain experience; open-source contributions or patents; full-stack development capability; and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
