Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and engineering standards within an Agile environment.
- Lead architecture, design, delivery, and long-term maintainability of scalable software.
- Develop and improve frontend and backend codebases through coding, code reviews, testing, and mentoring.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex issues and high-risk initiatives.
- Coordinate releases, ensure production readiness, and partner with product, design, security, and platform teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot or Spring MVC, delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed systems.
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, backend systems, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure and end-to-end DevOps pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience with continuous integration and test-driven development.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong ownership, and mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience is also accepted.
- Preferred qualifications include healthcare domain experience, AI or generative AI experience, application and performance monitoring experience, message queues and event-driven architecture experience, and SRE or DevOps practices including incident management and root-cause analysis.
Benefits
- The typical annual pay range is €65,000.00–€165,000.00.
