Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deploy scalable Azure Databricks data pipelines using PySpark, Delta Live Tables, and Bronze/Silver/Gold Medallion Architecture.
- Lead enterprise Salesforce architecture and custom development using Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex, and Salesforce Flows.
- Design and maintain integrations and data synchronization between Salesforce, Azure Data Lake Storage, and cloud or on-premises environments.
- Migrate legacy on-premises SQL pipelines to cloud-native Databricks solutions using YAML, JSON, and configuration-driven frameworks.
- Establish DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Pipeline as Code standards across Salesforce and data engineering environments.
- Define platform strategy, improve data quality, reduce technical debt, and resolve complex architecture and performance issues.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and establish platform security, governance, and engineering standards.
- Serve as the highest-tier escalation point for production issues and pipeline failures.
- Lead Medicare and payer data initiatives involving member, claims, and operational datasets while maintaining PHI/PII and HIPAA compliance.
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture, data models, integration standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in software development, cloud technology, or data engineering building large-scale platforms.
- At least 5–7 years of hands-on data engineering experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Advanced PySpark experience with DataFrames, transformations, joins, aggregations, and performance tuning.
- Experience developing and maintaining Delta Live Tables pipelines.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including technologies such as SOQL, SOSL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- At least 3 years of Salesforce custom development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, web services, and Flow automation.
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and ingestion, transformation, and curation pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, YAML, JSON, configuration-driven patterns, and CI/CD automation.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- US work authorization and willingness to travel approximately 10%.
- Salesforce, Databricks, or Microsoft Azure data engineering certifications are highly preferred.
- Databricks Asset Bundles, Unity Catalog, healthcare data, Medicare or payer data, claims or enrollment data, and PHI/PII regulatory experience are preferred.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, prioritization, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
