Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and maintain secure, scalable production software.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers while applying sound software engineering practices.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and remediation practices.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs covering correctness, performance, security, peer review, and automated testing.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve operational stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture and technology applicability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, particularly Python or Java.
- Experience leading the effective and secure use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant AI adoption.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred experience with Agentic AI, MCP development, and cloud-native systems.
