Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and evolve Java/Spring Boot backend services and responsive frontend interfaces.
- Build backend engines and supporting user interfaces for travel policies, approval chains, roles, and permissions.
- Design and scale APIs and data services with high-volume data handling, transactional integrity, reporting, and accounting integrations.
- Own the design, development, and launch of microservices and end-to-end product features.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams on complex cross-domain features.
- Partner with leadership on the long-term technical vision and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Write well-tested production code and promote testing, monitoring, documentation, and operational reliability.
- Mentor other engineers and advocate for technical best practices.
- Use AI development tools to accelerate development and improve engineering workflows.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software development experience focused on full-stack web applications in SaaS environments.
- Hands-on backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot, including data modeling, query optimization, secure scalable APIs, and microservices.
- Frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Vue and proficiency in TypeScript, state management, and API-driven interfaces.
- Experience integrating frontend experiences with backend microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership, collaboration, communication, production-quality delivery, monitoring, and documentation.
- Ability to use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, CodeGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
